118 ESCUELA DE ARQUITECTURA Redefining the Typology of the Winery by Emotional Architecture The purpose of this project is to examine a permanent architectural typology and to redefine new human interaction of space by its structures and design. Taking the opportunity of the fast booming wine economy and culture, the main concept is to engage on the idea of transforming an architectural typology by utilizing the principles of emotional architecture as a medium. The objective is to take the winery and place it in an unusual context, the city. By exploring the possibilities of the “slow movement” in an urban setting, “The Urban Winery” will incorporate the full spectrum of wine production to consumption and other complementary amenities, such as recreational (experimental theater/plaza) and accommodations (hotel). By the concepts of the multiple perspectives, transformative sequence and “the gravity flow”, it aims to draw a new type of tourism by creating a landmark with an unorthodox sequence in the city of Santiago, Chile. maría e. rivera aponte bachillerato en arquitectura mentor: arq. luis v. badillo, arq. jesús o. garcía y arq. luis ayala architecture winery luis barragán bernard tschumi urban complex
