He has an associate degree in dental assistant with expanded functions from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. Also, Mr. Alvarez completed a bachelor's degree in biology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. Currently, he lives in Maryland and works in the healthcare field as a dental assistant and research assistant for the federal government in the oral pathology service department of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs at the Washington DC Medical Center. His primary interest is the research in molecular biology applied to medical, industrial, and agricultural fields. He is also interested in innovative biotechnologies applied to aquaculture and its social and economic impact. Encarnación Rivera, Ángel Manuel Escritor, docente y abogado puertorriqueño. Publica la revista virtual Palabrajena. Tiene un doctorado en filosofía y letras y un Juris Doctor. Es catedrático de la Universidad Ana G. Méndez. Flores Torres, Axel X. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on 29 July 1996, he was fascinated with science and would often tinker with toys and objects to see how they work. He had the opportunity to visit various museums and the Kennedy Space Center. He learned about the different sciences, including astronomy, geology, and biology. He graduated from the Colegio Mercedario San Judas Tadeo high school in Ponce. He enrolled at the Ponce campus of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico (PCUPR) in general sciences and then biomedical sciences. He enjoyed anatomy, microbiology, and genetics, including practical science experiences. He developed a passion for molecular biology, which included genetics, microbiology, and scientific research, completing his bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences in 2020. He started a masters degree program in biotechnology at the PCUPR Center for Research in Biotechnology and Agrobiotechnology (CEIBA). He is scheduled to complete his graduate degree by May 2022 to
