En Universidad de Puerto Rico obtuvo el Bachillerato en Artes (en Ciencias Sociales), la Maestría en Artes y el Doctorado en Filosofía (ambos con especialidad en Estudios Hispánicos). También cursó estudios graduados en Trabajo Social. Ha enseñado en la Universidad de Puerto Rico (Recintos de Bayamón y Río Piedras), American University (Bayamón), Madison Technical College (Madison, WI), University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA), Centro de Servicios Educativos (Hato Rey), Wilfred Academy (Nueva York) y la Universidad del Este (Carolina). Trabajó como Orientador de Jóvenes, en el Departamento de Servicios Sociales, como Trabajador Social Escolar durante quince años en Puerto Rico y seis años y medio en la ciudad de Nueva York, además de terapeuta en una unidad de Salud Mental durante cinco años. Posteriormente, se ha dedicado a la enseñanza universitaria. Fue cofundador y codirector de la revista Creación: Artes y Letras (1975-1981). Fundó, además, las revistas eX- presión, arte y letras y la Revista Latina de Madison (Madison, Wisconsin). Perteneció a la Junta Editora de la revista académica Milenio (UPR, Bayamón). Fue corrector de la Revista de Estudios Hispánicos (UPR, Río Piedras). Fue columnista del semanario La Comunidad News (Madison, WI). Ha publicado sus escritos en revistas y periódicos de Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, República Dominicana, México y Estados Unidos. Ha publicado El Poeta Don Francisco Matos Paoli (1978) y El turno (cuentos; 1981, en coautoría con Cirilo Toro Vargas. Pérez López, Diane Marie She was born on October 14, 1996, in Ashford Presbyterian Community hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is the daughter of José L. Pérez and Cruz M. López. She currently resides in the Barrio Valenciano Arriba in Juncos, Puerto Rico. From 2000-2011, she studied at the Segunda Unidad Pedro Rivera Molina School in Juncos from kindergarten to ninth grade where she practiced dance and track and field. She belonged to the honor roll and graduated with high honors in the night grade. In 2011, She continued my studies at the Antonio Fernós Isern Vocational High School in San Lorenzo, where she studied from tenth to twelfth grade in the marketing. She was vice president of marketing during the 11th grade, and later graduated with honor and received the mathematics medal. During 2014, At the University of Puerto Rico, Humacao Campus, where she received a bachelor's degree of General Biology. During my six years of study, she represented the university in the renowned Justas Lai in track and field, for the 400 meters, relay race 4x100-m and 4x400-m events. She was a member of the associations American Medical Students, General Biology and Harimau Conservation Students Association. Currently during 2021, she was admitted to the master’s degree program in Clinical Neuroscience at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico.
