I am really anticipating more teaching moments like the one that I already spoke about. And the group of students that I am bringing with me this time, again a lot of students are not catholics, some are atheist actually. I have a few classes with them and so how do we attract the students? I am sure that God has a plan so that we can converse in these wonderful sites that we are going to see in Sicily with these layers of civilization, but also dialogue and not dialogue, we are so anticipating that. Leveraging that Pope Francis’ guiding principles offer for forging deep connections, my students and I are embarking on a transformative pilgrimage together, so I will put transformative pilgrimage and it’s a together even though education has to have a soul, ought to have a soul and the soul is in the togetherness. This journey will not only be about academic enrichment, but also about cultivating a sacred space where students are encouraged to fully embody their unique identities, express their views candidly and equally embrace a sense of openness to absorb and learn from their peers. Our students abroad transcends traditional academic boundaries, it is a pilgrimage marked by a profound shift from individual exploration to collective growth, a deliberative effort to forge a community that evolves from initial encounters to meaningful dialogue and ultimately to the possibility of fraternity. In the spirit of Pope Francis’ teaching, this educational endeavour is more than just a transfer of knowledge. it is an act of love, a beacon of hope, and a step towards realizing the vision of Fratelli tutti. Education, as articulated by Pope Francis, serves as a powerful testament to our commitment to nurturing, not only just minds, but hearts fostering a sense of brotherhood and shared humanity that promises a brighter, more inclusive future for all. Thank you very much for your attention.
